Frequently asked questions

01Do I need my own AI agent?
Yes. You connect your own agent over MCP, using either the hosted endpoint or the @scayver/specshot-mcp-server package. Your agent reads the whole project and builds the page designs inside SpecShot.
02Which plan includes agent builds and client review?
All of them. Free, Pro, and Agency each run the full workflow of projects, captures, agent builds, and the build canvas. Pro and Agency add public share links so external clients can review and pin feedback, plus more seats and white-label.
03Can I try Pro before paying?
Yes. Your first Pro subscription includes a 14-day free trial with the full Pro workspace. You won't be charged until day 15, and you can cancel any time from billing settings.
04What counts as a 'capture'?
Each reference section you save to a project counts as one capture. Reusing a capture to generate prompts or feed an agent build never uses another one.
05Can I switch plans later?
Anytime. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
06Do unused captures roll over?
No. Monthly capture and prompt limits reset on the first of each calendar month. If you regularly pass Pro's 200 captures, the Agency plan lifts the cap.
07Can my client review a design without an account?
Yes. Pro and Agency include public share links, so a client opens a read-only portal and pins feedback on the exact section. That thread flows back to your agent. Agency removes SpecShot branding and applies yours.
08What happens to my work if I cancel?
Your projects, captures, designs, prompts, and exports stay in your account on the Free plan. You keep read-only access to everything you've built, and nothing is deleted.
09Is there a refund policy?
If something isn't working as promised, email us within 30 days and we will issue a full refund. No questions asked.
10Do you offer custom pricing for larger teams?
Yes. If you need more than 15 seats, custom DPA terms, or volume pricing, email hello@specshot.cc and we'll sort it out.
